About Us

Anchor Academy is an Amazing Homeschool Group for Families in the Salt Lake Valley

A place to belong

Anchor Academy is a homeschool group (co-op, Commonwealth). We gather together as homeschooling families once a week. We, the parents, teach amazing classes that we feel passionate about. The classes range from rigorous academic classes to fun and inspiring extracurricular classes.
We are a tightknit group of homeschooling families that lift, strengthen and support each other on our homeschooling journey. While having a lot of fun in the process. Anchor is a loving, supportive and joyful homeschool group to be a part of.

Who are we?

Anchor Academy has been providing exceptional education and leadership development to homeschool scholars in Salt Lake Valley, Utah since 2014. We offer youth an opportunity to create and mold their own unique experiences through our wide range of educational and leadership classes and activities. As mentors, we see the true power in inspiring our scholars to seek their own unique mission through the transformation of becoming natural born leaders, ready to take on the world.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.

John Quincy Adams

We follow the Thomas Jefferson Education philosophy with a LEMI application.

What is Leadership Education?
Leadership Education is an educational philosophy that is rooted in family and community culture.  Having a Leadership Education for your family, ensures that we are tapped into the most valuable parts of our child’s heart. We are aware that there are different phases of learning. Scholar Phase is the phase of education where a student puts in thousands of hours studying the classics of all-time, learning how to think, shaping their hearts and minds, and obtaining the kind of education that is required for freedom.  It is also where the Scholarship Ladders become essential.
